Better late the never!

I finally took the kids Birthday pictures. Ben is still 3, so it counts. Ben wanted to wear one of his favorite shirts. He was happy to put on his Bears. Thank goodness! We also got the picture that we will be putting in our Christmas card. I am ahead of the game on something.

Picture Day!

Ben had his first school picture today. He said that we looked at the dot on the camera and smiled. He was very proud of himself.

We had a great time at the fair. The weather was perfect. I loved the can art. Once the fair was over the cans of food were being donated to a local food bank. We are already thinking about next year.

Katie turned 9 yesterday!

Katie turned 9 yesterday. Where has the time gone? She is growing up to be such an amazing girl. She helps out most of the time. Katie loves to read, collect horses and hang with her friends. Ben and I visited the girls for lunch. Our neighbor Clare joined us.

Last day of school was a lot of fun. We went to Hilligoss for donuts with some First and Third Grade friends. After school we headed to Nature Valley Horse Stables. The kids got a run down of how to take care a horse and a lot of facts about horses. Then each kid got to take a trail ride. Parents rode too. There was a petting zoo with goats. The weather was beautiful. To end of evening we had pizza at Rock Star Pizza. The cheese bread is to die for. Tony and the kids loved their thin crust pepperoni and mushroom pizza. I had a deep dish with everything. It was good but next time I am going with the hand tossed with everything. I just want a real Chicago deep dish. Amazingly the kids were in bed by 10. Tomorrow is another busy day.
