Thanks Daddy!

Lately, when Maddie is mad she loves to say, "God Dammit!" Yesterday we are out for lunch at a small corner restuarant. Maddie and Katie wanted a gumball. Maddie puts her quarter in and out comes a yellow one. She wanted a red one. Loudly she says, "God Dammit! I wanted the red one, put it back." This is the fourth time she has said it. Daddy has a habit of yelling that when he is mad, or if something goes wrong. Now, I am working on Maddie not saying it. What a treat for me!

Shots, Shots, Shots!

Yesterday was a hard day for the girls and I. I took Katie for her 5 year check-up and she needed 4 shots. She got 1 in the arm, 2 in one leg and then 1 in the other leg. There was crying, screaming and a tantrum. Her last shots were not that bad! Maddie had to get 3 shots, 2 in one leg and 1 in the other. She cried and screamed "Mommy" a million times. She said she is never going to the doctor again. The nurse gave them 3 stickers, 2 suckers and a pencil. I bought them ice cream. The night was long and cranky. Katie wake up with sore legs and Maddie had a fever of 101'. She is all better now. Katie doesn't have to get shot till she is 11 yrs old. Maddie has to get shots when she goes to Kindergarten. There will be no flu shots this year because neither of them will go near the doctor office. I hope the dentist goes better on the 9th!
They are both healthy. They are both tall for their age. Hopefully we won't see the doctor till next year. I can't handle all the screaming and whining! I am not looking forward to all the baby shots that will be coming next year:(

Lost Pictures!

Yesterday Tony pulled out an old camera that he kept in the basement and there was a used memory card

in it. Can you believe how little they were? Katie actually let me do her hair in pigtails. Maddie looks a little tortured, and look at those chubby cheeks!

Friday Fill-Ins

I found an old fill-in that I liked better then this weeks.

1. This year, I'd like to be more organized.
2. Going back to Disney World is what I daydream about most.
3. My car is a mess.
4. I would like to have more freedom in my life.
5. I love to have lots of friends and family around the house.
6. My children make me smile.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to bedtime so I can watch an adult movie, tomorrow my plans include go to Half Price Books, Cold Stone Creamery and who knows what else and Sunday, I want to clean the kitchen and find my maternity clothes (their lost somewhere)!

Maddie's 1st Day of Preschool!

Today was Maddie's 1st Day of Preschool. She loved it! Her teacher seems very friendly. Maddie warmed up to her from the minute she meet her. She even sat on hear lap and hugged her. Her name is Mrs. Leichty. She also teaches the K-4 and K-5. The classroom has a lot of fun centers. They get to use the computers and play at the playground. They already started doing school work. They learned the letter "A". She was saying in the car "A" say "AAAAA" and I mean loud. She also traced her name and the letter "A". She is growing up so fast. She was so happy when she come out of school. There are only four kids in her class, three girls and one boy. Would you believe that there is an other Maddie in the class? So our little Maddie is going by Maddie Rose in class.

Maddie picked McDonald's as her special lunch outing. When we got home I told her she had to finish her food before she could have a Popsicle. She come back with " That is not in my plan." What plan you are three. She has been saying the funniest things.

Katie's 1st Day of Kindergarten!

Can you believe that Katie is now in Kindergarten. Today was the first day and she loved it. The school had a assembly to start the day out. We then went to the classrooms. Katie was the only one to give her family a Good-bye hug and kiss in the hallway. The kids all went to their desk and the parents got to hear some info about the class. After a short talk we left the room. Katie gave us all hugs and kisses again, even the baby. She looked so grown-up.

The first picture is her teacher, Mrs. Stefanik and the second is the Assistant Teacher. I know it starts with a "V." I can't remember how to spell it:( They seem very friendly and involved with the kids.







Katie sits at a table with three other kids. They actually had school today. They went over the rules and exceptions. She told my mom that they learned about the bathroom. When she got in the car she wanted to tell me about the letters she learned. They counted, did letters, had outside time and other stuff that she couldn't remember. It was nice to see the look on her face.

I started a tradition last year, that on the first day of school we go out to lunch. Katie picked White Castles. Here she is eating her 1st Hamburger as a Kindergartner.

She will be going to school Monday thru Friday from 8:30 to 11:30. We also signed Maddie up for Preschool. She was very sad when we told her that only Katie was going to school. She is very excited. Her first day is tomorrow. She will go Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 11:30. What will I do with 2 hours and some to myself for those two days.

First Day of Kindergarten on Wednesday!

Katie's first day of Kindergarten in on Wednesday. She will be going to Bethesda in Brownsburg. The class is from 8:30 to 11:30, Monday to Friday. I will have tons of pictures tomorrow.

Birthday Fun!

Katie's birthday was a day of excitement. Gramma, Poppie, Furby and Nana come out on Wednesday. We had plans to go to the museum on her bday, but luck would have it the car needed new brakes and rotors. Everyone went to the pool instead. The girls had a great time. We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Katie loves their tasty rolls. The Birthday Beagle came all day long and and brought some presents.

On Friday we went to the zoo and saw all the animals. The weather was great! Katie feed a bird. Katie took a lot of the pictures. A butterfly landed on her! She loves the Butterfly Garden. She stands there forever hoping one will land on her.
